|1940's Newell's Black Beauty Show Saddle, Walter Newell|
1940's period Western style Saddle with a basket weave tooled
surface to the black leather. Nickel spot decoration.
Stirrups are covered with tapaderos that match the Saddle.
Signed "MADE BY NEWELL'S SADDLE SHOP ST. LOUIS MO."
Measures approx. 25"L.
High quality Saddle made by a well respected Craftsman.

Estate found condition. Not cleaned, enhanced or restored.

The decorative spots, conchas or other pieces of metal I guess
were nickel plated, which you can see are now worn.
Horn has open seams.
Right stirrup has black electrical tape wrappings
to hold some tight hairlines to the wood.
Fleece cloth to the bottom of the skirt is worn as seen in almost my last photo.
Leather is dry with cracking to the surface in that area.
